Topic: C.E5 A Tale of Two Stories: Demystifying what Strengthening Caregivers Look Like
Synopsis: How do we effectively strengthen collaboration across all the stakeholders who are involved with working children with additional needs or disabilities? Is there a tried and tested "formula"? Is there a key to unlocking strong collaborations?
Working with children with additional needs is often perceived as more work because there are more stakeholders to collaborate with. Educators often struggle to even know where to begin, let alone foster meaningful collaborations. Yet, strengthening the caregivers of the children is the key to strengthening the collaboration across all stakeholders who are involved with the children in question.
Join Faridah in this workshop and hear from two of her case studies to learn that strengthening caregivers of children is not rocket science but does need to begin with our interest and attention. When you strengthen the main caregivers of the child, you equip the "village" of the child to collaborate better.
