Topic: C.E6 Positive Behaviour Interventions and Supports
Synopsis: During their growing up years, preschoolers go through various changes and transitions in their environment and may experience difficulties with adapting to their new life experiences. Apart from parents, consistent support from preschool teachers is important in developing their students’ basic skills, especially in communicating their needs, and providing a positive environment to develop their sense of independence.
Therefore, the primary aim is to equip preschool teachers with skills to manage behavioural challenges of young children. A case study will be presented to walk teachers through a functional behavioural assessment with an emphasis on positive support strategies.
