Senior Lecturer

Dr. Christina Ratnam-Lim is a senior lecturer in Policy, Curriculum and Leadership (PCL) Academic Group. She teaches post-graduate courses on crafting the curriculum, curriculum implementation and evaluation, and perspectives on learning. Christina’s PhD was on exploring teachers’ beliefs about literacy development in early childhood education, which included some investigation into teachers’ reflection on and in action. Prior to working in NIE, Christina had worked in the Pre-School Education Branch in MOE, leading the team in the development of the first Nurturing Early Learners (NEL) curriculum (2003). She is currently teaching the Certificate in Early Childhood Curriculum Leadership (CECCL) course. She has published four articles on early childhood matters in Asia-Pacific Journal of Teacher Education, Contemporary Issues in Early Childhood, Teaching and Teacher Education, and Educational Review.
