Education Support Teacher
Little Olive Tree
I am first and foremost, a dedicated professional who has been working in the field of children’s education and special needs for the past 20 years. I was formerly from CPAS (Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore), working in the school and EIPIC (Early Intervention Programme for Infants and children) since 2004. I have since moved on to Little Olive Tree (formerly known as Presbyterian Preschool Services).
I have worked to continually improve myself professionally as I believe that learning is a life long journey and not static.I went back to school, equipping myself with the necessary knowledge by 1st taking a Certificate in Special Education (Social Services Institute), next an Advance Diploma in Early Childhood (special needs) from Ngee Ann Politechnic and finally a Bachelor's Degree in Education - Special Needs (SSI - Flinders University). I am privieleged to have the experience of going through the rank and file of being a volunteer, a Teacher’s Aide in the Special school, an Early Interventionist and a Lead Interventionist.
Currently I am an Education Support Teacher and an Inclusion Officer here in Little Olive Tree. This journey has given me the opportunity to put on different hats, experience different roles and all that it entails. This has led me through unique opportunities to learn, grow and experience being a novice in the field, to the person I am today: an Educator, an avid believer and champion of inclusion, who is ever ready to share and transfer knowledge/ skills and empower parents and compatriots in the field of education and people within the community.
