With more than 22 years of experience in the Early Childhood industry and a Degree in Early Childhood (EC) education, Alicia has trained many EC professionals and impacted many young children. In her role as Head of English Curriculum & Professional Development within her organization, she has provided guidance to Early Childhood principals and conducted training sessions for teachers, focusing on effective classroom practices, curriculum development, delivery methodologies, and instructional techniques. Alicia's professional development journey also included a visit to Reggio Emilia, renowned for its educational philosophy and pedagogy in preschool education, where she gained insights into fostering creativity among children and incorporating innovative teaching methods. Alicia is deeply passionate about coaching and mentoring Early Childhood educators, aiming to empower them to become invaluable resources for children. As a mother of four children, she strongly advocates for Outdoor Learning, emphasizing the importance of children engaging with nature to foster creativity, resilience, and confidence. Alicia believes that exposure to the unpredictable elements of nature, whether indoors or outdoors, provides invaluable learning opportunities for children.
